Ana Belac
Ana Belac is back in the field after a few weeks off from the Epson Tour. Belac's last start came almost a month ago at the Inova Mission Inn Resort and Club Championship, where she was able to grab a top-15 finish before heading to the LPGA Tour for two events in June. The 26-year-old was able to make the cut in one of her two LPGA Tour starts and did not post a round over par while at the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer. Belac has made four of six cuts on the Epson Tour in 2023, with all four cuts made ending up in top-20 finishes. Slovenian's best finish of the year was T7 at the Garden City Charity Classic at Buffalo Dunes. Belac also has an Epson Tour victory under her belt, taking home the trophy at the 2020 Carolina Golf Classic presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, and she will look to add another trophy to the collection this week at the Island Resort Championship.
Alyaa Abdulghany
Alyaa Abdulghany will also be teeing it up for the first time since the Inova Mission Inn Resort and Club Championship, where she had a runner-up finish. The runner-up was one of three top-10 finishes Abdulghany has had in her 2023 campaign. The University of Southern California alumnae also posted a career-low on the Epson Tour this season, turning in a 65 (-7) at the Copper Rock Championship earlier in the year. Abdulghany currently sits at No. 15 on the Race for the Card standings, even after taking a few weeks off. With a big week at Sweetgrass Golf Club, Abdulghany could find herself in the Top 10 heading into the season's midway point.
Amelia Garvey
Amelia Garvey has been one of the most dialed-in players on tour heading into the Island Resort Championship. Garvey has been trending up in her last three events, with each finish better than the previous. Her T19 finish at the Inova Mission Inn Resort and Club Championship was followed by a T14 finish at the Champions Fore Change Invitational. Finally, in her most recent start at the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship, Garvey finished runner-up in tough conditions in the Great Lakes State. Garvey has posted eight straight under-par rounds in that stretch, moving her to No. 19 on the Race for the Card standings. The New Zealand native will look to one-up her finish earlier this month and finish her last week in Michigan strong.
