  • Where did you first learn the game of golf and who taught you?

I first learned golf at the age of 5 in southern California. My dad would take me on the weekends when he went golfing, and that's where it all started!

  • When did you realize golf was something you wanted to pursue as a career?

I realized I wanted to be a professional golfer when I was 14 years old and qualified for my first U.S Women's Open in 2010. After that, all the professionals in the field inspired me to keep pursuing golf.

  • Who has been your biggest supporter throughout your career?

My biggest supporters are my parents, who have given me the opportunity to play at every stage of my career.

  • How does playing on the Epson Tour help you prepare for the LPGA Tour?

I think the Epson Tour is a tremendous challenge for players to overcome to go to the LPGA Tour. The tour tests every part of your game throughout the season and makes you stronger in the end.

  • What is the biggest obstacle you have overcome that helped you become the person you are today?

The biggest obstacle was me. I turned pro in 2017, but by the fall 2019, I thought I was done with professional golf for good. I didn't want to play anymore and wasn't enjoying tour life. I also didn't think I was good enough to be out competing with everyone else. After falling back in love with the game and realizing I could compete out here, that's when my mental/physical golf game took a turn for the best.

  • What advice would you give to the next generation of girls in sports and/or in life?

My advice would be. Play because you want to, because you love too! It all starts with yourself, and there is no better fuel than passion from within.
