Almond started playing golf at the age of five years old.  Other hobbies include fishing, shopping, painting, drawing, vlogging and surfing the internet.

• Competed in two U.S. Women's Amateur Championships (2008, 2009).
• Competed in the 2008 U.S. Women's Open Championship as an amateur.
• Competed in the 2009 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship.
