The Epson Tour heads to Connecticut this week for the 2026 Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship presented by Munich Re, as it makes its first trip to The Golf Club of Avon.

Tournament Partnership Extended Through 2028

The future of the Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship presented by Munich Re is secure for years to come. Ahead of the 2026 season, Hartford HealthCare and Munich Re announced a tournament extension through 2028, reaffirming their commitment to professional women's golf in the northeast region. Since joining the schedule in 2023, the championship has quickly established itself as one of the Epson Tour's premier stops through strong community engagement and its continued support of women's golf in Connecticut.

The tournament has also developed a reputation for showcasing future LPGA Tour stars. Gina Kim captured the 2025 Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship presented by Munich Re for her third Epson Tour victory of the season, a win that helped propel her to regain her LPGA Tour membership. Now back on the LPGA Tour, Kim is back and stronger than ever having already claimed her first LPGA Tour victory, teaming up with fellow 2025 Epson Tour graduate Yana Wilson to win the Dow Championship earlier this season.

New Home in Connecticut

After three editions at Great River Golf Club in Milford, Conn., the Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship presented by Munich Re is making its debut at The Golf Club of Avon, one of Connecticut's most historic private clubs.

Founded in 1925, The Golf Club of Avon has been a fixture of Connecticut golf for more than a century. Originally built as a nine-hole course before expanding to 27 holes in 1967, the club has hosted numerous state and regional championships, including the Connecticut Open, Connecticut Women's Open and Connecticut PGA Championship. Now adding its name to the Epson Tour schedule, the club's long tradition of championship golf continues while introducing the next generation of LPGA Tour stars to one of New England's most established venues.

Health and Wellness Take Center Stage

With Hartford HealthCare as the title sponsor for the event, golf is not the only thing taking center stage this week. Tournament preparations began on Monday with Hartford HealthCare offering player wellness initiatives; including clinical breast exams, skin cancer screenings, blood pressure and cholesterol screenings for Epson Tour players. These important and sometimes lifesaving health exams, being easily accessible to athletes who may not go home for weeks or months at a time, are valuable beyond words.

On Tuesday, the tournament celebrated a Women's Day with a fireside chat featuring actress and author Stephanie Szostak, best known for The Devil Wears Prada, Dinner for Schmucks and Iron Man 3. Szostak, who played Division I golf at William & Mary, joined Hartford HealthCare in highlighting women's health and empowerment to Epson Tour athletes

Important Tournament Information

The 2026 Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship presented by Munich Re will be played from July 23-26 at The Golf Club of Avon in Avon, Connecticut. The 144-player field will compete for a $250,000 purse, with the winner earning $37,500 and 500 Race for the Card points.

Admission is free for children 18 and under, Avon residents, and First Tee of Connecticut children and their families.

General admission tickets are available for $15 per day or $35 for a four-day pass covering Thursday through Sunday. Fans looking for an enhanced experience can also choose from several premium ticket options, including The Porch Patio ($50 daily or $100 for four days) and VIP Hospitality ($100 daily or $250 for a four-day pass).
