The Epson Tour heads to Toledo for the 2026 Greater Toledo Classic, set for July 17-19, 2026, at Highland Meadows Golf Club. This marks the second year as an official Epson Tour event after debuting successfully in 2025, but the tournament’s roots in northwest Ohio stretch back more than four decades.

Four Decades of Tradition

Although the Greater Toledo Classic enters just its second year as an official Epson Tour event, the event continues a strong tradition of professional women's golf. First presented as an LPGA Tour event in 1984, the tournament has been contested under several names – including the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic, Marathon Classic and Dana Open – while remaining a staple at Highland Meadows Golf Club. After the LPGA event concluded following its 40th anniversary in 2024, tournament organizers transitioned to the Epson Tour to carry on Toledo's rich golf history, returning in 2025 with a unique format that featured both an Epson Tour competition and the LPGA Legends Tour.

Since its inception, the championship has raised more than $14.6 million for children's charities across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan while donning a list of winners including Se-ri Pak (1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2007), Laura Davies (1988), Patty Sheehan (1992), Paula Creamer (2008) and Lydia Ko (2014, 2016), among others.

Important Tournament Information

The 2026 Greater Toledo Classic will be played July 17-19 at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio. The 144-player field will compete for a $250,000 purse, with the winner earning $37,500 and 500 Race for the Card points. The par 71 layout is known for its tree-lined fairways and small, well-protected greens, placing an emphasis on accuracy and course management.

Fans can also take advantage of special admission offers throughout the weekend. Friday is Senior Day, with free admission and parking for fans ages 55 and older.

Sunday is Family Day presented by Erie Home and Leaf Home, featuring free admission and parking for families, along with buy-one-get-one hot dogs available through vouchers distributed at the main gate (limit one per person).

Mia Hammond Returns to Action

Defending champion Mia Hammond (a) returns to Highland Meadows Golf Club after making history in 2025, becoming the first amateur to win on the Epson Tour in five years. Playing on a sponsor exemption, the then-17-year-old New Albany, Ohio, native fired rounds of 66-66-69 to finish at 12-under and birdied the 72nd hole to secure a one-shot victory. Hammond became just the eighth amateur to win on the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA and led the field in birdies with 16 during the championship.

The New Albany Three

Mia Hammond (a) (i), Kary Hollenbaugh and Anna Ritter (i), arrive at Highland Meadows Golf Club with ties to New Albany High School, located approximately 150 miles south of the course.

Hollenbaugh and Ritter were teammates at New Albany, helping the Eagles capture four consecutive OHSAA Division I state championships from 2018 through 2021, while all three played under head coach Richard Ritter, Anna's father.

Hollenbaugh and Ritter concluded their collegiate careers this spring at The Ohio State University and the University of Illinois, respectively, while Hammond is set to begin her freshman season at Duke University this fall.

Champions For Children

The Greater Toledo Classic's charitable mission will once again be on display through its Champions for Children program, which recognizes four Patient Champions from Nationwide Children's Hospital – Toledo and ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital. Honored for their resilience and inspiring journeys, all four Patient Champions will help open tournament play at the first tee on Friday morning. Since its inception, the championship has raised more than $14 million for local children's charities across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
