The 120-player field is ready to tee it up at Atlantic Beach Country Club for the third rendition of the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf, set to begin on Thursday, March 5, and conclude on Saturday, March 7. The tournament will be the first chance Epson Tour athletes have to move their way up and into the Race for the Card standings. Here are a few things to know before play begins:

Addition of Monday Qualifier

Earlier this year, the Epson Tour announced the addition of an 18-hole stroke-play local qualifying round for three upcoming 2026 tournaments: the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf, the IOA Golf Classic, and the Orlando Health Championship. The fields for each of the LQRs will be filled up to 36 Epson Tour Professional Members, ranked in order of the 2026 Epson Tour Priority List as of the commitment deadline for the applicable tournament.

A total of 26 Epson Tour members competed in the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf Monday qualifier, and Katherine Hollern and Caroline Canales fired rounds of 1-under,70 and even par 71, respectively, for the chance to compete in the opening event of the 2026 Epson Tour season. The Epson Tour is looking forward to continuing to provide more opportunities for professional golfers to compete and advance their careers in 2026.

Course History

Atlantic Beach Country Club is no stranger to hosting professional golf tournaments. For three years (2016-2018), the club, located just outside of Jacksonville, Fla., held the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, crowning multiple champions that went on to play on the PGA Tour.

The Atlantic Beach Classic host site was originally known as the Selva Marina Country Club, getting a new name and redesign in 2014 by Erik Larsen. Jack Nicklaus once made an albatross on the 18th hole at the 1966 Greater Jacksonville Open.

Who’s Competing

The Atlantic Beach Classic field is full of talent, which is no surprise on the Epson Tour. Samantha Wagner and Jillian Hollis, who won the 2025 FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship and Otter Creek Championship presented by Case Construction, respectively, will tee it up this week, and each will be looking for their first 2026 victory. Fourteen local college graduates and thirteen rookies are also set to compete, including Florida State University’s Mirabel Ting and Jacksonville University’s Jessica Welch. The field also consists of four sponsor exemptions – Sahana Chokshi (a), Jackie Lucena, Maria Bohorquez, and Carley Cox Pruette. Jackie Lucena competed collegiately at the University of Florida and now calls Atlantic Beach home, giving her a competitive advantage heading into her sophomore season on the Epson Tour.
