With the Race for the Card continuing to tighten, the Epson Tour heads to Connecticut this week for the Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship presented by Munich Re. The tournament's first visit to The Golf Club of Avon brings together a 144-player field with plenty at stake as the battle for LPGA Tour membership continues.

Here are four players to watch entering the week:

Gabriela Ruffels

LPGA Tour veteran Gabriela Ruffels is set to make her first Epson Tour start since being crowned the 2023 Epson Tour Player of the Year, a campaign highlighted by three victories and six top-10 finishes that secured her LPGA Tour status for the 2024 season. She enters the week as one of the most accomplished players in the field.

The 26-year-old has earned more than $1.5 million on the LPGA Tour, recording five career top-10 finishes, most recently a tie for ninth at the 2025 Amundi Evian Championship. Before turning professional, Ruffels starred at the University of Southern California, where she earned two collegiate victories and represented the International Team at the 2019 Arnold Palmer Cup.

Originally a standout junior tennis player, Ruffels made the switch to golf in 2015 and quickly emerged as one of the game's top amateurs. She became the first Australian to win the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2019 and went on to finish runner-up at the championship in 2020.

Daniela Iacobelli

A champion at the 2024 Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship, contested that year at Great River Golf Club, Iacobelli enters this week's tournament at The Golf Club of Avon fresh off her best finish of the 2026 season, a T8 finish at last week's Greater Toledo Classic.

A veteran of the Epson Tour since 2010, Iacobelli is the Tour's all-time career money leader with more than $553,000 in earnings and owns five career victories. Her win at the 2024 Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship helped propel her to 13th in the season’s Race for the Card standings, earning her a return to the LPGA Tour for the 2025 season before rejoining the Epson Tour ranks.

The 38-year-old enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Florida Institute of Technology, where she captured eight victories, including the 2007 NCAA Division II individual championship. With momentum on her side following last week's top-10 finish, Iacobelli will look to add another Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship title at this week's event in Avon, Conn.

Jieni Li

A 2026 rookie, Li recorded her first professional top-five finish last week at the Greater Toledo Classic, carding a 5-under, 137 to tie for fourth. The 24-year-old closed the tournament with a bogey-free final round in Sylvania and enters this week having made three consecutive cuts.

The Northwestern University alumna concluded her collegiate career earning an All-Big Ten Second Team selection and helped the Wildcats to two NCAA Championship appearances. Prior to Northwestern, she enjoyed a decorated junior career, highlighted by victories at the 2019 CJGT Team Championship Southern China Leg and the 2018 China Junior Golf Future Stars Series U18. She also earned runner-up honors at the 2018 Hong Kong Ladies Open Amateur & Mid-Amateur Championship.

Megha Ganne

Ganne enters her fifth Epson Tour start this week looking for a top result in Connecticut after making the transition to the professional ranks earlier this summer.

The Stanford University alumna capped her collegiate career by helping lead the Cardinal to the 2026 NCAA Women's Golf Championship, clinching the decisive point to secure the program's second national title during her tenure. A three-time WGCA First Team All-American, Ganne earned Epson Tour status through the inaugural LPGA Collegiate Advancement Pathway (LCAP) program after finishing as the program's top-ranked player. During her senior season, she recorded one victory, five top-10 finishes and six top-20 finishes.

Ganne made her professional debut at the 2026 U.S. Women's Open before teeing it up on the Epson Tour for the first time at the Great Lakes Championship at The Highlands. The 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur champion continues to gain valuable professional experience as she looks to contend for her first top finish on the Epson Tour.
