The final round of the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic was nothing short of exciting coming down the stretch on Sunday afternoon at TPC Scottsdale – Champions Course.

Megan Schofill started off a little shaky as playing partner Amari Avery was putting on a show, opening her round 3-under through her first four holes. The University of Auburn alumna battled back after rounding the turn with an even par front nine, draining back-to-back birdies on holes 12 and 13.

“I made a really nice par, finally had hit a good approach shot on 11 and then made a great birdie on 12 and that kind of put the momentum in my favor, said Schofill. “I felt like a little bit and then started hitting some nice golf shots and made a long putt on the 15th hole really propelled me. But no, I felt honestly after the 11th hole I felt okay if I kept playing well I would have a chance to win.”

The 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur Champion continued to gain momentum knocking in a clutch birdie on the par-3 15th to take a one-shot lead heading into the final stretch. On the 72nd hole both Avery and Schofill hit wayward second shots with neither of them making it on the green for a chance at birdie.

“Coming down 18, I really was hoping I would hit the green and not have to chip, and obviously I had to chip twice, said Schofill. “Amari kind of gave me the read. So I felt pretty good over the putt, but I definitely was very nervous. Just really wanted to close it out, did not want to have to have a playoff.”

The Epson Tour sophomore finished out her final hole of the tournament with a par to separate herself by one shot from the remainder of the field to hoist her first Epson Tour victory and take home the second biggest winner’s check of the 2026 Epson Tour season, thanks to Carlisle Companies.

“I felt like last year, they gave me a sponsor's invite and I met up a bunch of great people and they all kind of believed in me and really wanted me to do well. That kind of encouragement goes a long way. I mean, I'm out here, my family's not out here. So to have people that don't know me to support and encourage me really means a lot and I'm very thankful for them.”

Runner-up Amari Avery is walking away from the opening two weeks of the West Coast stretch with a win and solo second results, giving her great momentum as she heads to New Jersey to compete at the Mizuho Americas Open on the LPGA Tour.

“It was really great. I mean, honestly, after the first round, I didn't know where I was gonna be coming into Sunday, said Avery.

“So, I'm happy that I gave myself the opportunity to be here. I think there's a lot of great golf happening for me right now. And it's nice that I got an LPGA exemption. I know it's in the middle of a stretch, but I feel like right now is a great time to do it. I had a great week last week, had a great week this week, so I feel like I've got a lot of momentum behind me, so I'm really excited.”

Rachel Kuehn had a strong day on the links making four birdies and an eagle on the final hole from the bunker, ultimately signing for a 3-under, 68, vaulting from T5 into solo third for her top finish of the 2026 Epson Tour season.
