The 24-year-old from San Jose, California, arrives at Columbia Edgewater Country Club sitting at No. 2 in the Epson Tour's Race for the Card, trailing fellow rookie Lauren Olivares in the standings that determine who earns LPGA Tour membership for 2027. Romero's 2026 season has been nothing short of remarkable. She opened the year with three straight top-15 finishes in Florida, then kept the momentum going as the Epson Tour moved west. In June, she broke through for her first professional victory at the Island Resort Championship presented by Delta County Chamber, eagling the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to outlast Liqi Zeng at Sweetgrass Golf Club — a win that also clinched the 2026 Pure Michigan Cup.

The victory was the headline moment of a season built on remarkable consistency. Through her run on tour this year, Romero has made the cut in nearly every start, collected seven top-10 finishes and climbed to $119.3K in official earnings, all while ranking among the tour's best off the tee. She currently sits No. 2 in the Race for the Card with 1,636.942 points, a tight battle with Olivares at the top of the standings as the season heads into its final stretch.

Kyreece, a golfer at Oregon himself, caddied for Kaleiya at this year's U.S. Women's Open, where the sisters made history as one of the few sibling pairs to compete in the championship the same year — with both making the cut.
