Christine Wang captured her first career Epson Tour victory Sunday at The Golf Club of Avon, shooting 13-under across the four days of the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship presented by Munich Re to become the newest champion of the Epson Tour.

Starting the day with a three-shot lead, against Mirabel Ting and Cynthia Lu, Wang was fired up and ready to play this afternoon, draining birdies on her opening two holes. However, the tables started to turn quickly, when playing partner Ting made a two-putt birdie on the par-5, fourth hole, while Wang struggled with a bogey and dropped a shot.

When asked if she would be hoisting the trophy this afternoon Wang said, “I've been playing some really good golf, I think I mentioned that yesterday, but probably not because I would say this is a new course and I wasn't in a Pro-Am so I was only able to see the course on Tuesday when it rained the entire day so I didn't really get a great look at the course so I'm just trying to play some more safe golf this week, But I'm glad that, you know, as the days went on, I felt more and more comfortable with how the course is playing.”

Wang, a native of Houston, Texas, moved to 12-under with a birdie on the par-3 13th to extend her outright lead. The University of Southern California alumna responded with one final birdie on the par-5 16th to close out her first Epson Tour victory.

“I didn't have a great start to the season this year, said Wang. “But I made some changes with the way I am treating my game, how I'm practicing on the off weeks, just a few things here and there. I feel like this is just a good indicator that everything is going in the right direction.”

Mirabel Ting mounted one of the strongest charges of Championship Sunday, firing a 5-under 66 to finish in solo second at 12-under for the tournament. After struggling in the second round with a 5-over, 76, the Epson Tour rookie caught fire over the weekend posting back-to-back bogey-free rounds, highlighted by draining 12 birdies over the final 36 holes to clinch her seventh top-10 of the season.

Fellow rookie, Kaleiya Romero matched the mark with a 7-under final round to climb from T17 into solo third. The 2026 Island Resort Championship presented by Delta County Chamber winner entered the week with five top-10 finishes this season, and reminded fans of that throughout the final round, carding one eagle and six birdies against one bogey.

Romero’s back nine was highlighted with three consecutive birdies on holes 12 through 14 and an eagle on the par-5, No. 16.

Cythnia Lu and Anne Chen rounded out the top five, signing for 72-hole tournament scores of 8-under and 7-under, respectfully.

Next up, the Epson Tour heads out to Tennessee for the inaugural Smokey Mountain Championship presented by Food City, set to begin on August 6th.
