Moving Day at Indian Wells Golf Resort – Celebrity Course was one for the record books. The 60 athletes who made the cut continued to battle for a chance to make their LPGA dreams come true, and the top of the leaderboard shuffled once again, as Yana Wilson became the 54-hole leader, setting the stage for a dramatic championship Sunday.

Wilson, battling sickness and injury, was focused on maintaining a one-shot-at-a-time mentality when she teed off with round-two leader Anne Chen on Saturday. It appeared that the 19-year-old may have needed a longer warm-up after bogeying the par-4 first hole, but the Epson Tour rookie settled in quickly, picking up a pair of back-to-back birdies on holes two and three. The Las Vegas native then continued to drop putt after putt, making the turn at 3-under for the round.

She continued playing solidly into her back nine with a par on 10 before carding another set of back-to-back birdies on holes 11 and 12. The two-time Epson Tour winner ultimately signed for a 6-under 66 to climb to the top of the leaderboard and sit at 17-under total heading into Championship Sunday.

“I definitely feel a lot freer this week,” said Wilson about battling through injury. “Just not really expecting to play as well as I normally do. But, so far, it's been pretty good. I had a little bit of a back injury and a little bit of sickness coming into this week, so I wasn't really expecting too much out of myself, which I think really helped me and helped me shoot some pretty low scores.”

Having already clinched her LPGA Tour card for the 2026 season, Wilson is still battling for Rookie and Player of the Year honors, as well as a third 2025 victory. But no matter what, she will come out as a champion as the Epson Tour season comes to a close on Sunday evening.

“Honestly, it's kind of bittersweet,” Wilson said on finishing her rookie season on the Epson Tour. “I'm really going to miss playing tournament golf this year, especially on the Epson Tour, where the girls have been really awesome. I've kind of become close with a lot of the workers out here and the rules officials. So I'm going to miss them. I'm also really excited about what my future holds next year.”

Currently No. 10 in the Race for the Card, Sophia Schubert is fighting to maintain her position inside the top 10 to secure category 9 status as she returns to the LPGA Tour for the 2026 season. The 29-year-old performed well in the final pairing this afternoon, beginning her round with three consecutive birdies on holes two through four to round the turn at 3-under. Schubert was rewarded with cheers after holing out for eagle on the par-4 12th hole, a shot that saw her sign for a 67 that moved her into solo second ahead of the final round.

“I was so excited to make that on 12,” Schubert said. “Honestly, I just missed a three-footer for birdie on 11. So I was a little upset about that, but that made up for it. I'm pretty happy.”

This may be the first Epson Tour Championship cut Anne Chen has made, but she is not letting her inexperience show at Indian Wells Golf Resort. The Duke University graduate posted a steady 3-under 69 in the third round to sit two shots back of the lead.

Chen is looking forward to enjoying one last round with her Dad, who has also played the role of caddie this season, on Sunday. The 24-year-old is cool, calm, and collected, channeling that composed mindset to free herself up as she heads into her last 18 holes of the 2025 season in search of her first Epson Tour win, which would launch her from No. 30 into the top 15, making her LPGA Tour dreams a reality.

“I think to really enjoy it,” said Chen about her goals for Sunday’s final round. “I haven't really been in contention very often, so it's a nice feeling to have, and I really enjoy it. I'm not in the last group tomorrow, so I feel a little bit less stress on me as well. But really, just have fun with my dad, and see what I can do tomorrow.”

Despite an unsteady season, Annabelle Pancake-Webb carded a 7-under 65 on day three, moving her to 14-under total, and she currently sits in solo fourth at the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells, closely pursued by a foursome of athletes who are sitting in a tie for fifth at 13-under.

Megan Schofill shares fifth with Melanie Green, Kelli Ann Strand, and Alice Hodge heading into round four. Schofill fired a 5-under 67 on day three, highlighted by a 5-under 31 on her front nine, to finish with a 67 to climb to 13-under total.

Green, who is currently No. 1 on the Race for the Card leaderboard, is not going to let Yana Wilson run away with the Player and Rookie of the Year honors just yet.

The New York native posted a 5-under 67 in her third round, carding a 3-under 33 on her opening nine that was highlighted by three birdies in her first six holes. The Epson Tour rookie heads into the final round sitting only four shots out of the lead.
