The Epson Tour is nearing the end of the season, with only five tournaments left to play. Athletes will tee it up in Pendleton, Oregon, this week at the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic before heading back east to play three of the remaining five events in Kansas, Alabama, and Arkansas. The fourth playing of the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic will be played from August 15-17 at Wildhorse Golf Course.

Five Former University of Oregon Ducks Are Set to Compete

Out of the 140-player field, five athletes have spent time as members of the University of Oregon Women’s Golf team. Briana Chacon, Cynthia Lu, Minori Nagano, Alexis Phadungmartvorakul, and Kathleen Scavo will be the players representing the Ducks in Pendleton, Ore., this week. Chacon has already secured two wins on the Epson Tour this season, recently clinching her LPGA Tour Card for the 2026 season. Cynthia Lu is looking for her first professional career victory, and Wildhorse Golf Course feels like home court; Lu finished T4 in 2023 and T3 in 2024.

2024 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic T5 finisher Hailee Cooper is in the Field

One of the 2024 Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic’s top-5 finishers, Hailee Cooper, will be in search of her first professional win at Wildhorse Golf Course this week. The Epson Tour sophomore added another four top 10s to her resume just in the past month, during the Northeast stretch, totaling 11 career top-10 results and seven in 2025. Cooper currently ranks 10th in the Race for the Card standings as she is looking for her first victory to help solidify her LPGA Tour Card for the 2026 season. Last year, the Texas A&M graduate posted 15-under for the tournament.

Anyone’s Season Could Change with a Win

Another 500 points are on the line for this week’s winner, which could change any athlete’s season. Race for the Card points are becoming more crucial as the total points left for the season get lower. In the current standings, Laney Frye has 638.543 points and ranks 15th. Based on that, someone with zero points could win and still have a chance at earning a spot in the top 15 during the final five tournaments.
