The Epson Tour heads to South Bend, Ind., for the final leg of its Northeast stretch. The 14th rendition of the Four Winds Invitational will take place at South Bend Country Club from August 1-3. For more than a decade, the Four Winds Invitational has seen future LPGA Tour stars hoist the trophy and looks to continue that unofficial tradition in 2025.

Here are three things to know about the 2025 Four Winds Invitational:

Becca Huffer and Lauren Beaudreau Return to Alma Mater

University of Notre Dame alum Becca Huffer and Lauren Beaudreau once again return to their alma mater to compete in the Four Winds Invitational. During her senior season with the Fighting Irish, Huffer was named team captain and BIG EAST Sports Scholar-Athlete Award recipient. The 35-year-old has played in the event since 2021 and earned a T2 result in 2023. With recent success during the 2025 season, Huffer looks to best her T2 result with a win in a familiar city.

Beaudreau is a 2025 Epson Tour rookie, but is no stranger to South Bend Country Club. The Notre Dame alumni finished T6 at the 2024 Four Winds Invitational as a non-member. In her graduate season, the 24-year-old was the first player in Notre Dame women’s golf program history to win an NCAA regional, taking first at the NCAA East Lansing Regional, and currently holds the program record for lowest stroke average in a season (71.88).

The Past Champions List is Strong

The list of Four Winds Invitational past champions is one to boast about, with two major champions and many LPGA Tour players having hoisted the trophy while on the Road to the LPGA. Brooke Henderson won the Invitational in 2015 before earning status on the biggest stage in women’s golf, while Lilia Vu earned her win in 2021 before gaining her full LPGA Tour card for the 2022 season. Additionally, current LPGA Tour athletes Yan Liu, Perrine Delacour, and most notably rising star Gabriela Ruffels have walked away from South Bend victorious.

The Race for the Card is Getting Tight

With just five events remaining before the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells, ten athletes have passed the 1,000-point threshold, and the Race for the Card is getting tighter. Gina Kim sits at the top of the Race for the Card standings with 1,753.100 points, followed by Epson Tour sophomore Briana Chacon and 2025 rookie Melanie Green closely behind. The fight for Epson Tour Player of the Year honors and a spot in the top 15 is still anyone’s game. Only time will tell if the Four Winds Invitational will propel yet another athlete to the biggest stage of women’s golf in 2025.
