The three-week opening stretch of the Epson Tour’s 2025 season is concluding with the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture. The tournament marks the Tour’s final stop in the Sunshine State this year, playing at Alaqua Country Club in Longwood, Fla. from March 14-16. The 2025 playing is the 12th edition of the tournament, which boasts an impressive list of past champions. Here are three things to know about the 2025 IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture:

Important Tournament Information

The IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture is the third tournament on the 2025 Epson Tour schedule and is the last opportunity for athletes to earn Race for the Card points before the Tour is off the road for five weeks. It also serves as the last test for athletes, giving them areas to focus on before the season truly gets into full swing.

The tournament will be played from Friday, March 14 to Sunday, March 16, at Alaqua Country Club, and the 120-player field will compete for $225,000. The winner will walk away with $33,750 and 500 crucial Race for the Card points. Tournament admission is free.

Past Champions Look for Another Tournament Victory

The tournament has seen a few athletes hoist the IOA Golf Classic trophy and then go on to find themselves in the winner’s circle on the LPGA Tour. Aussies Hannah Green and Grace Kim won the tournament in 2017 and 2022, respectively, before finding success on the biggest stage in women’s golf. But no one has yet to hoist two IOA Golf Classic trophies. Could this be the year? 2020 and 2023 champions Laura Wearn and Jenny Coleman will return to Alaqua Country Club in search of another Epson Tour victory. Wearn tees it up after two made cuts at the Central Florida Championship and Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf, while Coleman will be teeing it up on the Epson Tour for the first time since her graduation in 2023.

Notable Amateurs Tee it Up as Sponsor Exemptions

Each week, two to three athletes are given sponsor exemptions, the chance to compete when they otherwise wouldn’t gain entry into the field. This week, the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture selected two decorated amateurs, giving them the chance of a lifetime to test their games on a professional stage.

Debary, Fla.’s Ryleigh Knaub will play in just her second Epson Tour appearance, her first being the 2023 playing of the IOA Golf Classic. The 18-year-old has seen success early in 2025, finishing 3rd at the Dustin Johnson World Junior. Knaub has previously participated in the 2024 Wyndham Cup, as well as the 2023 PING Junior Solheim Cup and Junior Ryder Cup.

Lake Mary, Fla.’s Mara King will tee it up at Alaqua Country Club for the fourth straight year. King has yet to make a cut on the Epson Tour but could find 2025 to be different if she channels her recent success. The 18-year-old earned 3rd place results at the 2024 Florida Junior Match Play Championship and AJGA Junior at Toftrees.
