Meanwhile, the remainder of the top 15 are focused on an increasingly tight battle, with only small margins separating them. Valery Plata made one of the most noteworthy moves of the week, climbing three spots to No. 14 in the Race for the Card after finishing T21 at the Greater Toledo Classic hosted by Stacy Lewis. Plata has had an up-and-down season but has still managed to make 10 cuts in 14 starts in 2025. The Michigan State University alumna secured two top-10 finishes early in the year: T5 at the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture and solo third in the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic. Another strong showing this week in South Bend, Ind., would help the Colombian get one step closer to regaining her LPGA Tour Card for the 2026 season.

Briana Chacon remains in second in the Race for the Card standings following an impressive win at the Casella Golf Championship. The win marked the University of Oregon graduate’s third professional victory of her career, with two of them being earned during the 2025 Epson Tour season. Chacon’s other win of the season was at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa. The 23-year-old has had a stellar season thus far, making all 14 cuts, and she is looking for another win this week that can shift her to the top of the Race for the Card standings.

Another standout performer heading into the Four Winds Invitational is Anne Chen, who picked up a T6 finish at the Greater Toledo Classic hosted by Stacy Lewis. The top-10 finish is the best result of the Duke University graduate’s young professional career and moved her up 10 spots to No. 26 in the Race for the Card. Chen has made her last four cuts and is looking for a fifth heading into the tail end of the Northeast stretch.

Competition in Indiana begins on Friday, giving athletes another opportunity to make a jump in the rankings. With only four tournaments separating the Four Winds Invitational and the Epson Tour Championship, the points earned become make-or-break for someone’s season or even career.
