After two weeks of intense competition, numerous athletes have made it known that they’re here to compete in 2025. The leaderboards have been constantly changing, seeing a different leader each day and multiple athletes threatening to take that lead. The IOA Golf Classic should be no different, as the 120-player field all look to take home a trophy in the last week of the Florida stretch. These are some players to watch in Longwood, Fla. this week:

Amari Avery

Although she is not a rookie, Amari Avery teed it up at the Epson Tour’s season-opening Central Florida Championship, ready to take on her first full season on the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA. The 21-year-old made her professional debut in June of 2024 at the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship and earned two top-10 results in just 10 tournaments.

The California native has opened the 2025 season strong, making both of two cuts and putting another top-10 finish under her belt with a T4 result at the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf. Despite not having competed at the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture before, the Florida stretch has been kind to Avery, and she could leave the Sunshine State with a comfortable cushion in the Race for the Card standings.

Sophia Schubert

Schubert made an incredible final-round push at the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf, carding a tournament-low, 8-under, 63, putting pressure on the leader and ultimate champion, Laetitia Beck. Despite the push, Schubert finished the tournament three shots behind Beck and in solo second place. The 29-year-old is no stranger to the Epson Tour winner’s circle, though, and looks to find herself standing in it once again this season. Before graduating to the LPGA Tour in 2021, she won the Carolina Golf Classic presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and earned eight additional top-10 finishes, ultimately putting her at No. 4 in the season-long Race for the Card rankings.

In her three years on the LPGA Tour (2022-2024), Schubert earned two top-10 finishes and looks to regain her status through the Epson Tour’s Race for the Card in 2025. Things are looking good early for the Tennessee native, with two made cuts in two events and two top-20 finishes.

Laetitia Beck

Beck is the newest Epson Tour winner, finding success at the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf after 11 seasons on Tour. Over three long days of some of the tougher conditions the Tour will see this year, the 33-year-old remained steady and was only one of three athletes to finish the tournament under par. The Israeli now sits in the No. 1 spot in the season-long Race for the Card rankings, holding a 163.4-point lead over the season’s other champion, Riley Smyth. In her Epson Tour career, Beck has earned 14 additional top-10 finishes but no other wins.

The 2024 season saw the Duke University alum compete on the LPGA Tour after earning membership through the 2023 LPGA Q-Series. She earned a season-best T19 finish at the Dana Open.
