The second round of the inaugural Greater Toledo Classic hosted by Stacy Lewis saw another tumultuous day of weather, with dangerous conditions suspending the round at 2:01 p.m. local time on Saturday. At 4:38 p.m., round two was suspended for the remainder of the day due to unplayable conditions. The second round resumed at 7:30 a.m. local time on Sunday.

Before the suspension, local amateur and sponsor exemption Mia Hammond fired off another low round of 5-under, bringing her tournament total to 10-under and giving her the solo lead on the Epson Tour side of this blended competition. The New Albany, Ohio native is bogey-free through 36 holes, an impressive feat at Highland Meadows Golf Club.

“I realized it on, I think, 15 or 16,” Hammond said of the accomplishment. “I was like, 'Wow. I've been playing pretty consistently, pretty steady.' It's a good feeling. It's been a long time since I've done that, so knowing that my game is in the right spot to have that opportunity is really cool.”

Hammond is no stranger to Highland Meadows Golf Club, as she has teed it up in multiple Monday Qualifiers and even made it through to earn a spot in the field at the LPGA Tour’s Dana Open, which was previously held at this same venue. And as a Toledo local, the 17-year-old is guaranteed an on-site support system throughout the week, providing some calming comfort in a situation she doesn’t experience often on the professional stage.

“I love coming here every year,” said Hammond. “The fans and my family get to be here. It’s so amazing to be surrounded by people who are cheering me on and are always gonna be there for me. Of course, a big thank you to Judd Silverman for having me back for another year. He's been a really big part of my career so far.”

Three shots behind Hammond, sitting in solo second at 7-under, is 2025 Epson Tour rookie Erika Hara. The Japan native has had a hot start to her Epson Tour career, making the cut in each of the 13 tournaments she has competed in thus far, including the Greater Toledo Classic hosted by Stacy Lewis, and earning six top-10 finishes.

Currently sitting at No. 9 in the season-long Race for the Card, a win on Sunday in Sylvania, Ohio, would catapult the rookie up the standings and put her closer to earning LPGA Tour status for the 2026 season. Regardless, a top-10 result would only add to her impressive 2025 resume, one that has seen her find the top 10 in at least half of the tournaments she’s competed in thus far.

Six athletes sit in a tie for fourth at 6-under, still within reach of Hammond and Hara. Having to play 36 holes on Sunday due to Friday and Saturday’s weather delays, Gurleen Kaur took advantage of her first 18 of the day, carding the low score of the round at 6-under. The stellar performance propelled the Texan to the final grouping alongside Hammond and Hara. Megan Schofill, Anne Chen, Laney Frye, Amanda Doherty and Yue Ren are all hoping to earn a come-from-behind victory.

The Legends of the LPGA tournament has been reduced to 36 holes, while the Epson Tour tournament remains at 54 holes. The Epson Tour field has been cut to the top 45 and ties, with the final round beginning at 2:00 p.m. local time, and the leaders teeing off at 3:28 p.m.
