Round two’s picture-perfect weather set the stage for a day of equally flawless scorecards at South Bend Country Club. The field of 144 athletes was narrowed down to 62, with the cut line at 1-over par. Among those advancing, several players posted career-best rounds, setting the stage for an exciting final stretch.

Jennifer Chang fired a 5-under 67 to kick off the morning wave. The Epson Tour sophomore started off strong, making back-to-back birdies on the first and second holes, followed by a birdie on hole four and an eagle on the fifth. Chang played steadily on her back nine, shooting one under to find herself only three shots back of 36-hole leader, Canadian Leah John.

After a personal best in round one, Leah John carded a 2-under 70, moving her to 11-under total to remain at the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the Four Winds Invitational.

“In the beginning, I had a couple of long par-save putts, so that brought me present pretty quick,” said John. “It's funny, compared to yesterday, today felt like a slow start, but I just kept sticking to the game plan that I had and chugged away. It was more scrambly. I had some punch outs, some interesting tee balls. I appreciated today for what it was.”

John started off steady before sinking a birdie putt on the fourth hole, but ended up even par on her opening nine. The 25-year-old added to her birdie count on her second nine with birdies on holes 12 and 16. The Epson Tour sophomore will head into the final round looking for her first professional career victory.

“The most important thing that I can do is have fun and be open to all the experiences that come my way,” said John. “These types of experiences only come very few, so take advantage of the learnings that you can get from them.”

Melanie Green had a score to chase, and she did just that on Saturday afternoon at the Four Winds Invitational. The 2025 Epson Tour rookie posted an even par opening nine, before having five one-putts in a row to add four consecutive birdies to her back nine scorecard. In Melanie fashion, the 2025 Island Resort Championship winner finished with a birdie on her 18th hole to post a 5-under 67. Green heads into tomorrow sitting three shots back, tied for second, and looking for the second professional victory of her young career.

Briana Chacon, Alena Sharp, and Kaitlyn Papp Budde sit one shot out of second place heading into the final round. Chacon tied her low round of the season, making eight birdies on the day to post a 7-under 65. The 23-year-old continues to have a stellar season, making 15 for 15 cuts as she heads into the final round looking to join Gina Kim as the second player to win three times in the 2025 Epson Tour season.
