As the halfway point of the season approaches, with the 10th of 20 tournaments being played at the Island Resort Championship presented by Delta County Chamber in Harris, Mich., Race for the Card points become slimmer and more crucial. The chance to earn points toward an LPGA Tour card decreases each week, making every tournament feel like a “now or never” moment.

While one athlete has maintained her spot up top, the gap between players is narrowing. Here are the most current Race for the Card standings:

Gina Kim is one of four athletes who have teed it up in every tournament so far this season and successfully made the cut in each. Sophia Schubert, Briana Chacon and Minji Kang join the North Carolina native in the nine consecutive cuts club, but Kim’s two wins at the IOA Golf Classic presented by Aperture and Copper Rock Championship set her apart as the Race for the Card leader. Kim paves the way with 1,209.900 points, but her lead has decreased after the Great Lakes Championship at the Highlands presented by Johnnie Walker.

Thanks to a win in Harbor Springs, Mich., Riley Smyth jumped six spots, now sitting at No. 2 with 1,189.600 points. She also joined Kim in the 1000-point club, with Epson Tour veteran Sophia Schubert just under 10 points away from joining the duo. Smyth’s victory was her second of the season, proving she’s a fierce competitor and ready to compete against the best in the world on the LPGA Tour. The win also narrowed Kim’s lead, leaving the Tequesta, Florida native just 21 points from the No. 1 spot.

There were plenty of significant moves in the standings following the inaugural tournament, with Germany’s Isi Gabsa jumping 30 spots to No. 29 and Kentucky’s Laney Frye up 16 spots to No. 15. Frye, a 2025 rookie, now finds herself in the coveted top 15 and trying to hold onto it for the rest of the season. She is one of five rookies in the top 15, joining Yana Wilson, Carla Tejedo Mulet, Erika Hara and Melanie Green.

The Tour has another 500 points on the line this week at the Island Resort Championship presented by Delta County Chamber, which could shake things up at the halfway point of the season.
