Round two’s sunny skies led to a wealth of red numbers at Great River Golf Club. The field of 144 athletes was narrowed down to 69 with the cut line at 2-over. Among those advancing, several players posted career-best rounds, setting the stage for an exciting final stretch.

Julia Gregg fired a 5-under 31 on her front nine to kick off the morning wave. The 2025 Epson Tour rookie made an eagle on the fourth hole, followed by three birdies on the fifth, sixth, and seventh holes. Gregg played steady on her back nine, shooting one under to post a 6-under 66, finding herself only three shots back of three-time Epson Tour winner, Gina Kim.

“Just kind of see ball hit ball; I had no thoughts in my head other than this whole ‘Cat's in the Cradle’ on loop all day,” Gregg said about her game plan. “I had really good numbers. I think almost all my birdies were a big nine iron today, which was weird, but just felt really good out there.”

Despite an unsteady finish, Gina Kim carded a 3-under 69, moving her to 11-under total to remain at the top of the leaderboard after the second round of the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship presented by Munich Re.

Kim expressed after her round; “Yeah, I mean, obviously not as exciting as yesterday, but still had a lot of good shots, a lot a good putts, a little bit of a shaky finish, but I think overall today I've made some really good decisions and played the course well, and so I'm excited for the next few days.”

Kim was striving for a course record when she teed off in the morning, starting off strong with a three-under 33 on her first nine holes. She chipped in for a birdie on her first hole of the day, the par-4 10th, followed by birdies on 14, 15, and 17. The North Carolina native added to her birdie count on her second nine with birdies on holes one and four.

Yue Ren, Yana Wilson, and Amari Avery sit two shots out of second place heading into moving day. Avery matched Kim’s 18-hole tournament record from round one with an 8-under 64 in round two. The 21-year-old maneuvered around Great River Golf Club bogey-free, adding four birdies on each nine and matching her career low round on the Epson Tour.
