Carlisle Companies has been at the forefront of supporting women's golf. For the second straight season, the Carlisle Arizona Women's Golf Classic has the highest purse on the Epson Tour, giving out $100,000 more in prize money than the next closest event.

Not only do they support the professional scene, but they also support the local colleges like Arizona State University, where Carlisle ambassador Ashley Menne competed for four years. During her time as a Sun Devil, Menne became the fourth player in program history to earn All-American honors during all four years of play, piling up 26 top-20 and 14 top-10 finishes in Tempe, Ariz.

Her play caught the attention of Carlisle Companies, and now, in just her third start on the Epson Tour, she is playing in an event hosted by her sponsor in her home state. It is not easy to begin your professional career, with so many uncertainties you have to deal with week in and week out, but this week Menne is playing with gratitude.

"I'm so honored to be sponsored by Carlisle. I actually played in the Epson Tour event when I was a freshman at Arizona State, so it's kind of a full-circle moment here. Pretty cool to be able to come back, representing them in their own event," said Menne. "I mean, they're definitely the leader, I would say, in putting women's golf on the map. You don't see any other company doing that out here. I mean, the purse is huge this week, and there are a lot of great players playing this week as well who are flying in to compete here."

So far in 2025, the 23-year-old has competed in just two events, but has made the cut in both, despite not having her best game. Menne is coming off a minor injury and is gaining confidence as the weeks go on.

"I would say even though I'm playing not so great, and it's not my A game, being able to make cuts and finish top 40 if I'm not playing great, it feels good," explained Menne. "Just because it feels like I belong out here, I know I can do it. I played well at Q-School and fell off at the end, too, but it's okay. It's like a learning curve, just trying to get used to everything as a rookie."

The Arizona native is not a stranger to winning in her home state. She has won three State Championships in high school and is a three-time Arizona Women's Amateur winner. This week has more on the line, but if there is someone who has shown they are up for the challenge, it is Ashley Menne.
