Benedetta Moresco

Moresco is making her 11th start on the Epson Tour this week after splitting time between the LPGA and Epson Tours in her rookie season. Last week at the Guardian Championship, the Italian held the 18-hole lead, carding a 7-under 65 in her opening round. She would end the week T5, marking her best finish of the season. Moresco also has a top-20 finish on the LPGA Tour, finishing T19 at the CPKC Women’s Open. The University of Alabama alum currently sits at No. 57 on the Race for the Card, needing a solid end to her season to secure her spot in Final Qualifying of LPGA Q-Series.

Sarah Edwards

Edwards is also in her rookie season and an alum of the University of Alabama. The 23-year-old collected her first top-10 finish two weeks ago at the Four Winds Invitational after a 2-under final round. She only has nine career starts but has made every cut during her rookie season but one. During her time at Alabama, she qualified for the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open and led the team in overall stroke average during her final season.

Kenzie Wright

Rounding out the University of Alabama group is Kenzie Wright, who is making her third appearance at the Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic. She made the cut in the event in her first two starts. Wright has one top-10 finish this year, finishing T5 at the Otter Creek Championship, and has made the cut in her last two starts. The 27-year-old is currently No. 84 in the Race for the Card, needing to move up at least four spots over the next three events to maintain full status on the Epson Tour.

Laura Wearn

Wearn is a three-time champion on the Epson Tour, with her last victory coming at the 2020 IOA Golf Classic. Last year at the Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic, Wearn finished in a runner-up position, her best finish since her last win after three straight rounds in the 60s. This year, the veteran has two top-10 finishes and has made the cut in her last four starts. Wearn has made multiple cuts on the LPGA Tour over the last two seasons as well, but she needs a strong end to the season to get into contention for a top-15 finish.

Miranda Wang

Wang has sneakily been having an incredibly consistent 2024 season, moving to No. 16 in the Race for the Card after a T5 finish at the Guardian Championship last week. The Epson Tour sophomore has one career win on Tour, taking home the trophy at the 2023 IOA Championship, while also having five top-10 finishes in 2024. Wang has only missed one cut all season, displaying remarkably consistent form heading into the Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic, where she made the cut in 2023.

Lauren Stephenson

Stephenson is a University of Alabama alumnae, and she will be returning to the LPGA Tour after mathematically clinching her card for the 2025 season after her T18 finish last week. Her 2024 season was her only year on the Epson Tour after spending the first five years on the LPGA Tour full-time. Her win at the Twin Bridges Championship was Stephenson’s first professional win, marking a significant milestone in her career. Now back at her alma mater, she will try adding another win to her resume before returning to the LPGA Tour.
