Performance tracking app to enrich athlete performance through enhanced statistical data collection

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., June 12, 2024 — The Epson Tour announced today a partnership with Upgame, a stat-tracking, performance-based app designed to help golfers take their game to the next level. Through this partnership, all Epson Tour athletes will have access to an account to help collect on-course statistics through geo-linked course maps. Players will be able to use Upgame to track their shots with different tees, pin locations and yardages and utilize in-app intuitive visual graphs to see and easily understand performance data to support players in reaching their peak performance.

“Every athlete on the Epson Tour is looking for an edge and it’s proven year after year that small changes can lead to a promotion to the LPGA Tour,” said Jody Brothers, the Epson Tour’s Chief Business and Operating Officer. “I’m thrilled that this partnership will help assist our athletes in their quest to improve, while providing critical data that can be utilized by our rules officials, content team, and enjoyed by our fans.”

Upgame’s smart maps feature and data collection system will allow athletes to record shots and evaluate their performance against intended targets during practice rounds, elevating their game one shot at a time. The statistics-based game improvement system has been previously utilized by Epson Tour players like Benedetta Moresco, who used the platform at the University of Alabama and continues to use it in her rookie year on the Road to the LPGA.

“I love Upgame because it gives you such a detailed analysis of your stats. Thanks to the strokes gained in all sectors of the game, you can easily see the areas you need to improve on,” said Moresco. “I also love that with Upgame, you can plan your round before the week starts.
