Miranda Wang
Wang has had one of the best rookie performances so far this season. She captured her first Epson Tour victory in just her third start of the season at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. The rookie then finished in the top 20 in the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic but went on to miss her next four cuts. At the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship, Wang returned to her early season form, securing a T8 finish. In her last three events, she has made every cut and is looking to make a run in the second half of the season. Wang is currently just outside the top 10 in the Race for the Card, sitting at No. 16. A strong finish this week could move Wang into the top 10 heading into the next event.
Jiwon Jeon
Jeon captured a victory earlier this year at the Inova Mission Inn Resort & Club Championship and the rest of her 2023 season has been incredibly consistent. Jeon missed her first cut of the year in her 11th start of the season at the Island Resort Championship presented by Delta County Chamber. The missed cut seems like an anomaly for Jeon, who in her next start finished fifth at the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship. Jeon is No. 8 in the Race for the Card and is on her way back to the LPGA Tour if she continues with her consistent play.
Isabella Fierro
Fierro is another player who has had an impressive rookie season and seems to be finding her footing on the Epson Tour. Fierro put together one of the rounds of the season earlier this year on the final day of the Garden City Charity Classic at Buffalo Dunes. The bogey-free, 10-under 62 was good enough to secure a tie for second, Fierro’s best result of the season. Since that runner-up finish, Fierro has only missed one cut in six starts and has recorded back-to-back top-20 finishes in her last two starts.
