Jenny Bae
Bae is the talk of the Epson Tour after winning back-to-back events at the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship and the Twin Bridges Championship. The Epson Tour rookie jumped into the top 10 in the Race for the Card in just two tournaments, currently holding the No. 9 spot. If Bae can add another trophy to her collection this week at the French Lick Resort Charity Classic, she will be the first player to have three consecutive wins in three consecutive starts on the Epson Tour since Vicky Hurst last did so in 2008.
Minji Kang
Kang started her 2023 season off strong but hit a rough patch at the midway point in the season, missing two straight cuts. But those are the only two missed cuts this season for Kang who has bounced back in a big way. Kang made the cut at the Island Resort Championship after those two MCs, then really found her game at the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship, finishing T2. The rookie eventually fell in a playoff to Jenny Bae, but the playoff loss did not discourage Kang. She would post another top-five finish the next week at the Twin Bridges Championship, moving her to No. 11 on the Race for the Card heading into this week’s French Lick Resort Charity Classic which has one of the biggest purses of the year.
Robyn Choi
Choi is having a quiet but consistent 2023 campaign. She has made the cut in every event she has played this season, with her best finishes coming in the last four events. In that stretch, Choi hasn’t found herself outside the top 30 and added her first three top-10 finishes of the season. The 25-year-old is finding her game at the right time and is one strong showing away from cracking the top 10.
Auston Kim
Auston Kim is currently in the best form of her career heading into the French Lick Resort Charity Classic. The Epson Tour sophomore has four straight top-10 finishes, posting one round of 67 or better at each event. Kim has been playing well all season, only missing one cut in 12 starts while collecting three other top 10s earlier in the season. Kim’s seven top-10 finishes are tied for the most this season and she also has the third-best scoring average of the year at 70.057. While it’s been a solid season for Kim, she’s still looking to have her breakthrough win, one that she hopes will come this week at the French Lick Resort Charity Classic.
