There is only one player who currently leads the Epson Tour in top-10 finishes on the season. Kendra Dalton is two-for-two, finishing T10 at both the season-opening Florida’s Natural Charity Classic and Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic. The 26-year-old has been competing on the LPGA’s official qualifying tour since 2019 and finished 80th on the 2022 Epson Tour Official Money List. Dalton is not only pleased with her results so far but is also happy to see her hard work start to pay off.
“It’s been nice because I feel like I’ve been working really hard the past few years and there have been a lot of downs,” said Dalton. “It’s good to see that hard work come together and see my confidence come a long way in my game.”
Teeing it up at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa this week provides Dalton an opportunity to go three-for-three. The North Carolina native says it can be challenging to leave the game behind when she leaves the course each day, but her early success gives her peace of mind that her game is in a good spot.
“I’m excited to go after what I’ve been working towards the past few years and welcome that success,” said Dalton. “There’s a discipline to the mindset and that’s what I’m trying to do. Be disciplined with being the best version of myself and do the little things I know have gotten me here. My game is good, I just have to go play golf.”
