With the completion of the Twin Bridge Championship in Guilderland, N.Y., and over $2 million in total purses up for grabs, the Epson Tour is in the home stretch, soon to award ten LPGA Tour cards for the 2024 season. Nine players have kept their spots in the top 10, while one has played her way into the mix, and with nine events left on the schedule, the Race for the Card continues to be anyone's game.
With her runner-up finish last week, Malaysian Natasha Andrea Oon continues to gain ground on Gabriela Ruffels on the money list. The Aussie has won twice on the Epson Tour and recorded two additional top-10 finishes, currently sitting at No. 1 in the season-long Race for the Card, with only a $5,590 lead over Oon.
The San Jose State alum continues to close the gap between first and second, adding $18,834 to her earnings after her stellar performance in New York. While she has yet to win in her rookie campaign, she already has seven top-10 finishes this year, four of which are runner-up results, and is well on her way to claiming Gaelle Truet Rookie of the Year honors. The pair are also heading in the right direction as they look to secure one of the ten 2024 LPGA Tour cards up for grabs this season.
There was little change in the top 10 after last week, and behind Oon are 2023 Epson Tour champions Gigi Stoll, Roberta Liti, Jenny Coleman, Agathe Laisne, Savannah Vilaubi, Auston Kim, Jenny Bae and Jiwon Jeon. Stoll, Coleman, Laisne, Vilaubi, Bae and Jiwon earned their spots in the top 10 through their Epson Tour victories. Liti is still vying for a win but her fourth-place showing last week and four additional top-10 finishes this season were enough to move her into the third spot in the Race for the Card standings.
American Jenny Bae, who has put together an impressive rookie season on the Epson Tour, is new to the Race for the Card top 10. In only three total starts this season, she has recorded back-to-back victories, winning both the Hartford Healthcare Women's Championship and the Twin Bridges Championship in playoff scenarios, moving her to ninth on the money list.
