SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 24, 2023 – Jan. 24 marks 100 Days Out to the start of the 2023 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, kicking off ticket and volunteer opportunities for the elite women’s golf competition at TPC Harding Park. The team match-play format showcases the best female golfers from the top eight countries across the globe and is returning to the LPGA Tour calendar for the first time since 2018 on May 4-7, 2023.
Held biennially, the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown celebrates the world’s best female golfers, who represent their countries rather than a continent or region, highlighting the global nature of the game of golf. It also gives sports fans an unparalleled opportunity to see elite female athletes up close, interacting with some of the best players to ever walk inside the ropes of a golf course. And it will all happen at TPC Harding Park, one of the country’s top golf courses, which is hosting an LPGA Tour competition for the very first time.
The eight countries vying to capture national glory are the United States, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Sweden, England, Thailand, Australia and the People’s Republic of China. The final field of 32 players and the final country seeding will be confirmed via the Rolex Women’s Golf Rankings as of April 3, 2023, the Monday after the DIO Implant LA Open.
Potential competing athletes include 2020 gold medalist Nelly Korda (USA), past Crown champions In Gee Chun (Korea) and Lexi Thompson (USA), major champions Jin Young Ko (Korea), Minjee Lee (Australia) and Anna Nordqvist (Sweden), and international superstars Nasa Hataoka (Japan), Charley Hull (England) and Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand).
“It’s going to be super exciting. I’ve heard many good things about TPC Harding Park, heard it’s challenging obviously and that it will be great for match play,” said Korda, currently No. 2 in the Rolex Rankings. “Being 100 days away from the International Crown is exciting. I’m hopeful to be there and represent the USA.”
Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown will feature four-ball pool play competition. The top two countries from each pool will advance to Sunday. Two semifinal matches will be played Sunday morning, with each match consisting of two singles matches and one foursomes match. The winning semifinal countries will compete in the final match on Sunday afternoon, along with a third-place match between the two losing semifinal countries.

Fans can purchase various ticket and hospitality packages to enjoy every activity throughout the four days at TPC Harding Park. The International Pavilion is a climate-controlled, open-air seating area that will offer elevated views of the 12th hole with views of Lake Merced and will play a pivotal role in deciding exciting matches throughout the week. General Admission tickets start at $60, and all juniors 17 and under will receive complimentary access to the tournament grounds with a ticketed adult.
Additionally, to honor those who serve, the LPGA and the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown are pleased to offer complimentary access to Active Duty, Military Retirees, Active Reserve, National Guard and First Responders, Thursday through Sunday.
