The Epson Tour tees it up this week for the Guardian Championship in Prattville, Alabama; three featured groups highlight the 120-player field that will compete for a $200,000 purse from September 16-18 at the Senator Course of Capitol Hill Golf Club on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
Gina Kim, Yue Ren, Dani Holmqvist
7:44 a.m. – 10th Tee
Gina Kim is playing alongside Yue Ren and Dani Holmqvist during the opening rounds of the Guardian Championship. The rookie from North Carolina is looking for win number two as she makes her first start in Alabama.
Ren makes her first start in the Guardian Championship after coming off a T18 finish at the inaugural Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic. Ren has posted two top 10 results in 16 starts this season, including a season best T9 at the Casino Del Sol Golf Classic.
Holmqvist looks to earn her second Epson Tour win as she makes her first start in the Guardian Championship. She currently sits 14th in the Ascensus Race for the Card standings, and with another strong finish, she could move inside the top 10.
Linnea Strom, Jaravee Boonchant, Kum-Kang Park
7:55 a.m. – 1st Tee
Linnea Strom will play alongside Jaravee Boonchant and Kum-Kang Park in the first two rounds of the Guardian Championship. The Swede has put herself in contention on more than one occasion with four top-10s, including a win at the IOA Championship Presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. She currently sits third in the Ascensus Race for the Card standings and is looking for win number two as she makes her second start in Alabama.
In thirteen starts this season, Boonchant has posted two top 10 results. The rookie from Thailand ranks No. 33 on the Ascensus Race for the Card money list and makes her first start in Prattville.
Park makes her second appearance in the Guardian Championship after coming off a T12 finish at the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic. Park has posted three top 10 results in sixteen starts this season, including a win at Florida’s Natural Charity Classic.
Gabriela Ruffels, Alexa Pano, Gabriella Then

Gabriela Ruffels makes her first start in Prattville, Alabama, and will play alongside Alexa Pano and Gabriella Then in the opening rounds of the Guardian Championship. The Australian rookie is looking to pick up her first win and an opportunity to move inside the top 10 on the money list.
Fellow rookie, Alexa Pano, looks to earn her first win on the Epson Tour and an opportunity to secure her LPGA Tour card for the 2023 season. She currently sits seventh in the Ascensus Race for the Card standings, and with another strong finish, she could secure her card.
Then makes her first start in the Guardian Championship after coming off a T9 finish at the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic. Then has posted two additional top 10 results this season, including a win at the Garden City Charity Classic at Buffalo Dunes, and sits fifth in the Ascensus Race for the Card standings.
