WORLEY, ID. – The 132-player field for the second Circling Raven Championship presented by KXLY 4 News Now has been finalized by the Epson Tour. The “Road to the LPGA” begins its two-week swing on the west coast in the Gem State from August 26-28 at Circling Raven Golf Club in Worley, Idaho.
Individuals will compete in a 54-hole, stroke-play format for $200,000 and a winner’s share of $30,000. A cut will be made to the top 60 and ties after 36 holes. Admission for the tournament is $10 per day.
“We’re thrilled to have these talented young players return to play in the Circling Raven Championship presented by KXLY 4 News Now,” said CEO Laura Penney, Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel. “The leaders of Coeur d’Alene Tribe and our casino resort brought professional women’s golf to Northern Idaho through the Epson Tour with two goals in mind – to shine the spotlight on our award-winning golf course and Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel, and to continue our quest to empower women, youth, and Native Americans through the game.”
Seven of the top-10 players in the Race for the Card will compete for this week’s title, as well as eight of the 13 2022 champions.
Returning to Circling Raven Golf Club for the second time are Idaho native Gabby Lemieux and Bailey Tardy. The duo finished T3 at the 2021 event.
“There’s always something about coming back home to Idaho that feels different,” said Lemieux. “But to play the sport you love in front of an Idaho crowd is just the cherry on top.”
Past champion, Peiyun Chien now plays on the LPGA Tour and most recently finished T4 at the ISPS Handa World Invitational presented by AVIV Clinics.
