The eighteenth edition of the 2022 Ascensus Race for the Card standings arrived following the conclusion of the Guardian Championship hosted by the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill in Prattville, Alabama.

With just three weeks left in the season, the race for the top 10 is narrowing. The Guardian Championship brought little change to the standings, with the top seven players remaining in their positions. 26 players sit just outside of the top 10, with potential to move in following a win in Arkansas this week.

Dani Holmqvist’s T4 performance in Prattville, Ala. gave her the push she needed into the coveted top 10. That was her sixth top-10 finish on the 2022 season.

Ascensus strives to help their clients get to wherever they want to be, which is inside the top 10 for many on the Epson Tour. Instead of look at the bigger picture with just three weeks left, Holmqvist narrows her goals down to playing to her capabilities each week.

“It feels great being inside the top 10,” said Holmqvist. “But I’m trying just to focus on playing the best possible golf I can every tournament.”

Yan Liu was the only other player to move up in the standings. After a T4 last week, Liu sits at No. 8, one spot ahead of her previous position at No. 9.

Every year, the top 10 in the Ascensus Race for the Card earn LPGA Tour membership for the following season. From 1999-2002, the official qualifying tour of the LPGA handed out three cards. Then from 2003-2007, the number increased to five before 10 were distributed starting in 2008. Since the inaugural year, 172 players have graduated to the big stage.
