Carlisle Companies is committed to four areas of community engagement: civility, veterans, education, and mental health services, so aligning with Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH) and Girls Golf of Phoenix as the official charitable beneficiaries of the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic made perfect sense.
Girls Golf provides the next generation with quality golf instruction led by LPGA and PGA teaching pros, or certified coaches from The First Tee. Not only are they experts in helping girls advance their golf skill, but they specialize in creating experiences that exemplify how much fun the sport truly is.
During the final round of the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic on Sunday, Girls Golf of Phoenix will be hosting a clinic on the range of Longbow Golf Club from 2-3 p.m. MST.
“Having support from the Epson Tour through the Carlisle partnership has made a significant impact on our local girls in the Phoenix metropolitan area,” said Girls Golf of Phoenix site director Cori Matheson. “In 2021, we had our largest membership enrollment in program history. With partnerships that grow our financial stability, we can provide events at an affordable and accessible cost to reach even more girls. We are thrilled to be included as a beneficiary again in 2022 and look forward to sharing some ‘girl power’ at the 2022 Carlisle Arizona Women's Golf Classic.”
The Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic also serves as an excellent platform to bring awareness to a new, multi-year investment that Carlisle has made in Phoenix Children’s Hospital. While Carlisle works with Phoenix Children’s Hospital throughout the year, Carlisle’s commitment has enabled PCH to design and develop a pilot program aimed at addressing the crisis of pediatric mental health and wellness in its local communities.
“With an investment from Carlisle Companies, Phoenix Children’s is developing a new pilot program and approach to suicide prevention in kids and teens,” said Jaren Muenzer, MD, Physician in Chief and COO of Phoenix Children’s Medical Group. “Carlisle has a proven track record of committing to and investing in programs that improve the mental health services and solutions available in the communities in which they operate.”
In addition, the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic will continue its “Birdies for Charity” program this year. For every birdie on No. 18 at Longbow Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, Carlisle will donate $100 to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
