With the 2022 season coming to a close and the 2023 season quickly approaching, one event confirmed its place on next season’s schedule. The “Road to the LPGA” returns to Mesa, Arizona for the third annual Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic at Longbow Golf Club. The event will be played from March 16-19, 2023.
Chris Koch, Chairman, President and CEO of Carlisle Companies said “We are excited to bring the Epson Tour back to Arizona for the third annual Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic. The women on the tour truly embody Carlisle’s culture of continuous improvement and resilience. With our record purse, we hope to attract the best golfers and show the Phoenix community and our employees true characteristics of excellence.”
The 2023 event will be played in 72-holes and include a purse increase from $250,000 to $335,000, with the winner receiving $50,250. The increase marks the largest purse awarded on tour, joining the French Lick Charity Classic.
“The Epson Tour is excited to return to Mesa next year for the third annual Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic,” said Epson Tour Vice President of Tournament Business Affairs, Tim Kramer. “The support from Carlisle Companies makes this event a great stop for the tour. Carlisle’s commitment to increasing the purse, one of only two events to cross the $300,000 threshold, aids the Epson Tour’s mission to provide opportunities for women golfers to achieve their dreams.”
Defending champion, Fatima Fernandez Cano is also happy to see the event back on the Epson Tour schedule. The support from Carlisle Companies means a lot to the women on tour and is much appreciated by all.
“I love playing the Carlisle event, it has been one of my favorites ever since we started playing it in Arizona a couple years ago,” said Fernandez Cano. “I love that Carlisle continues to be committed with the Epson Tour and with growing women’s golf!”
