Only two bogeys in 36-holes has helped Bethany Wu (Diamond Bar, California) to 7-under par overall. The Road to the LPGA rookie carded a 3-under par 69 this morning to stay near the top of the leaderboard looking towards tomorrow.
“[My strength this week has] just been positioning myself, getting on the right part of the greens and all that. I had a three putt today and but other than that just pretty good solid golf. Just trying to have the same swing thoughts and trusting each shot and all that,” said Wu. “It’s just like I mean I can’t control whatever those girls are doing so just going to do my best.”
Wu has claimed three top-5 finishes so far this season, two of which were runner-up finishes. While she has not had as many starts as other members this season, she continues to learn about her game each and every week she is out here.
“I dipped a little bit into Vision-54. I should probably get back into it again,” said Wu, on what has been helping her find her game on Tour. “But then honestly, it’s just like surrounding myself with just great people, and having like a good close circle of friends and all that. It really kicked in, in Idaho where I was like I really need get my mind off the golf, when I’m off the golf course and wherever I am with my friends.”
