Starting the day three shots behind the leaders did not stop Linnea Johansson (Bastad, Sweden) from finding her way to a T2 finish at the Prasco Charity Championship. A final-round 4-under 68 moved Johansson up the leaderboard and gave her the second runner-up finish of her Epson Tour career.
“I was playing very solid from the tee to green and gave myself a lot of chances. I dropped some really good putts which was great but also missed a few,” said Johansson. “Overall I gave myself a lot of chances so I am going to keep building on that.”
Instead of taking the next week off to rest, she heads to Texas for the LPGA Tour’s Volunteers of America Classic. It’ll mark Johansson’s fifth LPGA Tour start this season. Earlier this year she finished T57 at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship.
“I am going to play in Dallas next week on the LPGA Tour and then hopefully get into Marathon the week after because I am alternate there,” said Johansson. “We will see but I will keep my fingers crossed.”
