Finding her way into the mix after carding six birdies and three bogeys in the second round, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (Brignoles, France) moves herself one-stroke back from the lead at 8-under par.
“I struggled a little bit more today to reach the fairway at first. Then I got some greens and hit some good putts. I had my first three putt in 5 rounds of golf on No. 2 so my 11th hole,” said Roussin-Bouchard. “That made me mad, but I really tried to keep the right mindset and just focus on what I’m supposed to focus on, instead of just being mad and grumpy.”
Roussin-Bouchard is making her pro-debut this weekend at the Four Winds Invitational. In the mix of it all happening so quickly, she has already found guidance and support from Epson Tour Members in the field this week including fellow University of South Carolina Gamecock, Katlyn Dambaugh.
“I’m rooming with her this week and she’s just an amazing person. She’s been helping me out. I mean she even picked me up from the airport, so it starts there. But also, just the way she is so positive and is really nice helps,” said Roussin-Bouchard. “There is also a group of French people that are here, like Emma Broze. We did a couple competitions growing up together. I’ve known Frida Kinhult since I was about 14, too. Just having all these people around doesn’t make me feel alone. Since my parents and everybody are in France, it’s a little support and I just love it.”
