After the seventh tournament of the 2021 Epson Tour season, the Race for the Card rankings welcome two new names after the IOA Golf Classic presented by RP Funding at Alaqua Country Club in Longwood, Fla.
Ruixin Liu (Guangdong, People’s Republic of China) continues to maintain the No. 1 spot with the help of two wins this season and earnings of $67,220. Fatima Fernandez Cano (Santiago, Spain) remains in second with five top-10s in seven events and earnings of $55,855.
Staying at No. 3 is Lilia Vu (Fountain Valley, California) with $46, 554. Following right behind at No. 4 is Road to the LPGA rookie Sophie Hausmann (Nottuln, Germany) who took home a winner’s check at the IOA Championship of $22,500 in Beaumont, CA and has total earnings of $41,632. Joining the group for the first time with season earnings of $41,027 is Allison Emrey (Charlotte, North Carolina) at No. 5 after claiming her first professional win at the IOA Golf Classic presented by RP Funding.
“Ultimately that’s the goal, to get on the top-10 in the money list, but we have so many more tournaments to go,” said Emrey. “I am in a great position, but I have to keep playing well. I feel like my game is in a really good spot and I have been striking the ball well, so I am excited to play in the next few tournaments.”
For a second week in a row, Casey Danielson (Osceola, Wisconsin) stays in the top-10 but moves down to No. 6 with earnings of $36,762. Checking in at No. 7 is Amanda Doherty (Atlanta, Georgia) who has claimed three top-10 finishes in her last three starts on the Tour. Doherty claimed her career best finish of runner-up on Sunday and has season earnings of $35,017.
“I am just going to try and keep doing what I am doing and get better in the areas I think need improvement,” said Doherty. “It would mean everything to finish top-10 at the end of the season. We all come out here to play to get the opportunity to play on the LPGA Tour. It’s been my dream since I was little. Both my parents play, so they really got me into it and my dad still plays with me all the time.”
At No. 8 is Bailey Tardy (Norcross, Georgia) who stays in the top-10 with $33,750 so far this year. Only $368.00 behind is Maude-Aimee Leblanc (Sherbrooke, Quebec) who claimed a second-place finish at the Copper Rock Championship and IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa. Isi Gabsa (Munich, Germany) completes the group this week after earning $29,376 highlighted by three top-5 finishes so far this year.
At the end of the season, the top-10 players in the Race for the Card standings will graduate onto the LPGA Tour for the 2022 campaign.
