After the fifth tournament of the 2020 Epson Tour season, the Volvik Race for the Card rankings shuffle and welcome one new player into the top-10 thanks to her performance at the Four Winds Invitational in South Bend, Ind.

Kim Kaufman (Clark, South Dakota) jumped from No. 7 to No. 1 on the money list after collecting a check of $22,500 from her third career “Road to the LPGA” title. Ruixin Liu (Guangdong, People’s Republic of China) moves to No. 2 on the money list with $32,838 and Janie Jackson (Huntsville, Alabama) to No.3 after earning $32,007. At No. 4 is Fatima Fernandez Cano (Santiago, Spain), having collected $30,779 after a solo fourth finish at the Founders Tribute and winning the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa.

Moving down one spot in the rankings to No. 5 is Bailey Tardy (Norcross, Georgia) having claimed $30,013. Next in line is the newest face to the Volvik Race for the Card, Robyn Choi (Gold Coast, Australia), with two top-10 finishes this year including a second-place finish at the Four Winds Invitational. Choi has collected a total of $19,504 in 2020.

“It feels great to join the Volvik Race for the Card. That was my goal coming in from the COVID-19 break, to get in the top 5 and get my LPGA status for next year,” said Choi, who had a season-best 36th at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational on the LPGA last year. “I honestly didn’t think that this week’s second place finish would get me up as high in the rankings as it did but it feels great and I feel like I’m a little closer to where I want to be. And hopefully I’ll be able to climb up a little higher by the end of the season and get my card again.”

Casey Danielson (Osceola, Wisconsin) drops to No. 7 having with earnings of $15,340 this year. With a second-place finish at the IOA Championship this year, Anna Redding (Concord, North Carolina), joins at No. 8 with total earnings of $15,636. Claiming a T3 finish at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon a few weeks ago, Laetitia Beck (Caesarea, Israel) remains in the top-10 at No. 9 with $14,830. Finally, seventeen-year-old Lucy Li (Redwoods Shores, California) completes the group after earning $14,000 throughout this year.

“I am looking forward to the upcoming events in a few weeks down in Florida and get my name into the top five,” said Beck, the first player from Israel to compete on the LPGA. “With the winners from this year at the top of the Volvik Race for the Card I know that I will have to play some good golf come the end of the season.”

At the end of the season, the top five players in the Volvik Race for the Card standings will graduate onto the LPGA Tour for the 2021 campaign.
