DAVIDSON, NC — The 10th and final stop on the 2019 “Road to the LPGA” takes the Epson Tour to River Run Country Club in the Tar Heel State for the 13th annual Epson Tour Championship from November 1-6.

“We are excited to finalize the top-5 players in the Volvik Race for the Card and celebrate their LPGA Tour membership for the 2021 season,” said Mike Nichols, the Chief Business Officer of the Epson Tour. “Additionally, all five will be awarded entry by the USGA into the U.S. Women’s Open at Champions Golf Club in December. Seeing these elite athletes achieve a lifelong dream of becoming LPGA members as well entry into the final Major Championship of the season will truly create for a memorable week and fitting conclusion to the 40^th season of the “Road to the LPGA.”

Greeting the 84-player field in Davidson is a total purse of $175,000. Individuals are set to compete in a 72-hole stroke play format with a cut to the low 60 players and ties after 36 holes. The winner’s share for the event is $26,250.

“We are honored to be hosting the 2020 Epson Tour Championship. This year the players have overcome many obstacles and it has been a true test of their dedication to the game,” said Tom White, River Run Country Club General Manager. “We are excited to host them, celebrate them and especially award those who finish in the top-5 in the Volvik Race for the Card.”

The 2017 Epson Tour Championship winner Rachel Rohanna (Marianne, Pennsylvania) is among the competitors. She finished No. 11 in the 201u Volvik Race for the Card. The victory in Daytona Beach was Rohanna’s second in her career.

“It's been a rough year for everyone, but I am so happy to have had the opportunity to compete this year and I know I'm speaking for others when I say that. We are very grateful for the wonderful sponsors and staff of the Epson Tour who have worked as hard as we have to still make this a great year,” said Rohanna. “Winning the 2017 Epson Tour Championship was certainly an unforgettable experience. I knew I was playing really well leading up to it and couldn't have asked for a win to come at a better time. Finding out that I was pregnant 2 days later made it even more special. The trophy sits in my daughter's room and hopefully will be a reminder to her someday that anything is possible.”

Action gets underway at 8:00 a.m. ET all four days with play starting off No. 1 and No. 10 tees in each round.
