At 6:27 a.m. CT before the first player was set to tee off in the second round of the Forsyth Classic presented by the Decatur Parks District start times were delayed due to an approaching storm.
UPDATE 6:27 a.m.: Due to approaching storms in the area, the start of the second round of the Forsyth Classic will be delayed.
UPDATE 7:07 a.m.: The weather system is now moving through the area and is expected to continue with rain and potential lightning through the morning hours. Starting times will continue to be delayed.
Second round starting times will not begin before 11:00 a.m. CT
UPDATE 10:23 a.m.: Moderate to heavy rain with lightning continues around the Decatur area and more will be headed this way for the next few hours. Second round starting times continue to be delayed and now will begin no earlier than 1:00 p.m.
UPDATE 1:09 p.m: The heaviest rain and lightning have passed by the Decatur area. The rules officials are assessing course conditions with the golf course crew at this time. We will continue to monitor the weather for the remainder of the day. The second round will begin at 1:30 p.m.
