The Epson Tour tees it up this week for the Garden City Charity Classic; four featured groups highlight the 136-player field that will compete for a $150,000 purse from September 7-9 at the Buffalo Dunes.

Dottie Ardina, Maia Schechter, Prima Thammaraks

8:44 a.m. – 10th Tee

Dottie Ardina is playing alongside Mais Schechter and Prima Thammaraks in the opening rounds of the Garden City Charity Classic at Buffalo Dunes. She leads the Tour’s money list and ranks first in scoring average at 70.20. Ardina enters the week with four top 10s on the season primed for her first victory and securing her LPGA Tour card for the 2019 season.

Schechter looks to earn her second Epson Tour win as she makes her third start in the Garden City. The third-year member currently sits No. 16 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings, and with another strong finish, she could move inside the top 10. She is coming off a T21 finish at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge and looks to build on her solid play in South Dakota.

Thammaraks had an excellent week in South Dakota, finishing T8, her second top 10 on the season which has her sitting at No. 32 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings. She will be making her first start in Garden City.

Dana Finkelstein, Becca Huffer, Linnea Strom

9:17 a.m. – 1st Tee

The Garden City Charity Classic was where Dana Finkelstein stepped into the winner’s circle for the first time in her career; she is making her second start in Garden City and hopes to add win number two to her resume. The third-year member is grouped with Becca Huffer and rookie Linnea Strom on the first two days.

Huffer looks to earn her first Epson Tour win as she makes her fifth start in the Garden City Charity Classic. She currently sits No. 17 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings and is on the move with her consistent performance this season.

Strom, the Tour’s most recent winner, looks to go back-to-back and secure her LPGA Tour card for the 2019 season. The Swede will be making her first start in the Garden City Charity Classic.

Alyssa Ferrell, Elizabeth Szokol, Linnea Johansson

1:24 p.m. – 1st Tee

Alyssa Ferrell has had an up-and-down season on Epson Tour but is coming off her best performance of the year, finishing T8. The American hopes to continue the upward momentum and step into the winner’s circle for the first time in her career, she is making her third start in Garden City and looks to better her T28 result just last year. Ferrell will play alongside Elizabeth Szokol and Linnea Johansson in the opening rounds.

Szokol arrives in Garden City looking to become the first two-time winner of the season; she currently sits seventh in the Volvik Race for the Card standings. The second-year member has put herself in contention on more than one occasion this year with three top-3s, including a win at IOA Invitational.

Johansson has six top 18 finishes in fourteen starts which has her sitting at No. 36 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings. She will be making her second start in Garden City and looks to better her T49 result from a year ago.

Natalie Sheary, Karen Chung, Leona Maguire

1:57 p.m. – 10th Tee

Natalie Sheary is grouped with Karen Chung and rookie Leona Maguire in the opening rounds of the Garden City Charity Classic. The tour veteran looks to pick up win number two as she makes her fourth start in Garden City.

Chung looks to earn her first Epson Tour win as she makes her first start in Garden City. The second-year member currently sits No. 11 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings and is on the move with her consistent play in 2018.

In eight starts, Maguire has posted four top 19 results. The rookie makes her first start in Garden City after coming off a season-best tie for third at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge.
