There are two tournaments remaining in the Epson Tour season, and undoubtedly, the top ten players currently ranked in the Volvik Race for the Card standings will change. Every year, someone makes a last minute run to squeeze into the top 10 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings to earn their LPGA Tour card. Last year, Katelyn Dambaugh finished inside the top 10 in four of the last events to secure the final spot on the money list. Here are five players, currently outside the top 10, who will be players to watch over the season’s closing stretch.

Min Seo Kwak – She knows what it takes to finish inside the top 10 on the money list having finished No. 2 in 2014, the same year she won twice on the Epson Tour. Fast forward to 2018, Kwak currently ranks 11th on the money list after a tie for second last week at the Guardian Championship. Kwak has finished inside the top 10 in five events, including three top 3 results. The good news for Kwak is that in 16 starts, she is only $148 shy of the tenth place spot on the money list. With another solid performance, Kwak is likely to return to the LPGA Tour, where she played from 2015 to 2017.

Eun Jeong Seong – The Republic of Korea native is currently 13th on the money list after her win at the Danielle Downy Credit Union Classic and a tie for sixth at the Fuccillo Kia Classic of NY. She hit a rut in August with two cuts made in her last six events, but look for the rookie to regain her form in the final stretch. Seong is on this list because she can putt and knows how to finish. She is ranked fourth on Tour in putts per GIR (1.78) and 17th in putting average.

Pajaree Anannarukarn – She has been one of the more consistent players outside the top 10 this year and put herself in contention on more than one occasion. Anannarukarn, who ranks 15th on the money list, has four top 10 finishes. Now, the question is whether Anannarukarn can win to jump up in the standings? Her best finish this season was runner-up at the IOA Invitational in early May. Anannarukarn ranks 14th on Tour in scoring average (70.96).

Becca Huffer – She has the game to win on Tour but can she put it all together? Huffer is currently No. 18 on the money list, so she has ground to make up. She is a little over $15,000 outside of the current top 10 on the money list, so she will need to finish inside the top 5 over the closing stretch in order to have a shot. Last year, players needed to make $63,023 to earn their card. Factoring in the increase in the year-long purse, it’s safe to assume it will take $40,000 or more in earnings to finish inside the top 10 on the money list this year. What does that mean for Huffer? Over the final events of the year, she will need to earn at least $25,000 to have a chance, and that may require a win. Huffer’s best finish was runner-up at the Prasco Charity Championship.

Clariss Guce – Guce has experience on her side. She has been in the hunt for a card each of the last two years. She finished 11th on the money list in 2016 and 53rd in 2017. Over the last 10 years, Guce is the only player to win twice in a season and not earn her LPGA Tour card for the following season. Guce hasn’t won since her rookie season, but she does have five top 10s in 2018. Guce finished in a tie for ninth at the Guardian Championship, and she currently ranks 20th on the money list, which is the perfect spot to chase from. Guce ranks eighth on Tour in putts per GIR and putting average and 21st in driving distance.
