The Epson Tour makes its annual stop in the state of Arkansas for the fourth running of the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout at Mystic Creek Golf Club from September 14-16.

Strong Field in El Dorado 20-of-20

The final sprint to earn an LPGA Tour card is a thrilling race to follow. With only four events remaining the field is very strong in El Dorado as the entire top 20 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings is scheduled to compete.

With a $22,500 first-place check, anyone in the top 30 could potentially jump into the top 10. Number ten on the money list, Eun Jeong Seong, is just $352 in front of number 11, Ruixin Liu.

Win Number Two?

Nearly every winner of 2018 is in the field for this week’s Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, where 19 of the 20 winners this season will compete. The only winner not in El Dorado is Lauren Coughlin, as she is set to compete this week in France for the LPGA’s final major of the season, The Evian Championship. With Allyssa Ferrell capturing the Garden City Charity Classic at Buffalo Dunes last week, we’ve not seen a repeat winner this year. The season has seen thirteen first-time winners: Lauren Kim, Stephanie Meadow, Elizabeth Szokol, Jenny Haglund, Louise Ridderstrom, Maia Schechter, Isa Gabsa, Ruixin Liu, Muni He, Stephanie Kono, Eun Jeong Seong, Coughlin, Marta Sanz Barrio, Linnea Strom, and Ferrell.

No. 8 Yoktuan with Two Straight Top 5s

Pavarisa Yoktuan has moved up to 8th in the Volvik Race for the Card standings with back-to-back top 10 finishes at the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge (T5) and Garden City Charity Classic (T2). She was No. 19 on the money list entering the grueling finishing stretch.

Yoktuan has a chance to create further separation from No. 11 Ruixin Liu, with another solid performance this week. Yoktuan has finished inside the top 15 in four of the last five tournaments and has four top 10s in fourteen events this season and twelve career top 10s.

Career Best Finish for Ferrell

Allyssa Ferrell earned her first professional win on Sunday in Garden City by carding a 7-under 65 at Buffalo Dunes Golf Club to move from 69th in the Volvik Race for the Card standings to 21st. In 16 starts this year, she’s had two top 10 finishes, and before last week Ferrell’s best finish was a tie for fifth at the 2016 Island Resort.

Ferrell’s current ranking is highlighted by four top-17 finishes this season including her first professional win last week in Garden City.
