The Epson Tour tees it up this week for the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship; three featured groups highlight the 133-player field that will compete for a $100,000 purse from August 17-19 at the Battle Creek Country Club.

Allyssa Ferrell, Christine Meier, Elizabeth Nagel

7:52 a.m. – 10th Tee

Three former Michigan State Spartans in this group as Allyssa Ferrell, Christine Meier, and Elizabeth Nagel will play together the first two days. The last three Spartans head off the tenth tee on Friday morning, each looking to earn their first win on Epson Tour. Ferrell is making her third start in Battle Creek where she looks to improve on her T23 finish in 2016.

Meier has struggled this season on Epson Tour with just two cuts made. The Michigan native makes her fifth start in Battle Creek and hopes the hometown fans give her that extra boost needed for the final stretch on the Epson Tour. She looks to improve on her T20 finish a year ago.

Nagel has yet to win on the Epson Tour this season, but she notched her best result of the year at the 25th annual Michigan PGA Women’s Open Championship in late June, a victory. Her victory made her the second Spartan in two years to take home the title. This will be Nagel’s fourth start in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship.

Cheyenne Knight, Stephanie Meadow, August Kim

8:36 a.m. – 1st Tee

Cheyenne Knight is playing alongside Stephanie and August Kim during the opening rounds of the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship. Knight has yet win on the Epson Tour but has only one missed cut in eight starts. The rookie has four top 15 finishes which has her sitting at No. 48 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings.

Don’t count Meadow out this week, she is coming off a missed cut at the PHC Classic, so there will be extra motivation this week to pick up her second win in 2018, a step closer to securing her LPGA Tour Card for the 2019 season.

August Kim looks to earn her first Epson Tour win as she makes her second start in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship. The second-year member currently sits No. 22 in the Volvik Race for the Card standings and is on the move with her consistent performance this season; with four top 10s in thirteen starts.

Casey Danielson, Dottie Ardina, Carlie Carr

1:47 p.m. – 1st Tee

Casey Danielson is playing alongside Dottie Ardina and Carlie Carr in the opening rounds of the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship. The rookie from Osceola, Wisconsin has only two starts this season each resulting in a top-five finish. Danielson currently ranks No. 41 on the Volvik Race for the Card money list and makes her first start in Battle Creek.

Ardina enters this week with four top 10s on the season primed for her first career win. She currently sits atop the Volvik Race for the Card standings with nearly $70,000 in earnings and ranks second on Tour in scoring average at 70.24. This will be Ardina’s fifth start in Battle Creek.

Carr had an excellent week at the PHC Classic, finishing T3, a career-best. She has an additional top 10 finish on the season; T9 at the Island Resort Championship. This will be Carr’s fifth start in Battle Creek where she looks to improve on her T-7 in 2016.
