IOA Invitational coming to Atlanta National Golf Club April 30-May 6

LONGWOOD, FLORIDA, September 27, 2017 - The Epson Tour, the official qualifying Tour for the LPGA, is excited to announce that IOA (Insurance Office of America) will title sponsor a third Epson Tour event starting in 2018. The IOA Invitational will be played the week of April 30 through May 6 at Atlanta National Golf Club outside Atlanta, Georgia.

The IOA Invitational will be a Friday (May 4) through Sunday (May 6) tournament and will carry a purse of $100,000 and a winner’s payout of $15,000.

“We just announced that IOA was boosting its purse at this week’s IOA Golf Classic and today IOA becomes the first company in the history of the Epson Tour to title sponsor three events in a single year,” said Epson Tour Chief Business Officer Mike Nichols. “John Ritenour and his team clearly see the value in the Tour and our professional athletes and we are excited to get them even more involved in 2018.”

IOA already title sponsors the IOA Championship in Beaumont, California and the IOA Golf Classic in Longwood, Florida.

“The Atlanta market is very important to our company and we’re excited to introduce our employees and customers to the wonderful athletes of the Epson Tour,” said IOA Chairman John Ritenour. “We’ve nurtured a great relationship with the Epson Tour that has allowed IOA to entertain clients and customers and give back to charity in now three important markets around the U.S.”

The Epson Tour has played at Atlanta National Golf Club each of the last two seasons. Laura Wearn (Charlotte, N.C.) won in 2016 and Nanna Koerstz Madsen (Copenhagen, Denmark) won in 2017. Koerstz Madsen has three wins on the Epson Tour this season and has secured her LPGA Tour card for the 2018 season.

IOA will own and operate the IOA Invitational.

IOA first came on board as a title sponsor of the Epson Tour’s IOA Golf Classic in 2013.
