Albany, NY – The Fuccillo Kia Classic of NY has chosen Colleen Cashman-McSween and Bailey Cocca for its two sponsor exemptions in next month’s Epson Tour tournament at Capital Hills.

Cashman-McSween and Cocca will join a field of 142 Epson Tour Professionals competing in the tournament that carries a $125,000 purse.

The tournament, which enters its 14^th year at Capital Hills Golf Course and 31^st year in the Capital Region, will be held from June 2 – 4, 2017.

Cashman- McSween will be playing in her third consecutive Fuccillo Kia Classic of NY as a sponsor exemption. She is in her 4^th year as the UAlbany Women’s Golf Coach. She competed in over 100 professional golf tournaments on the former LPGA Futures Tour and won the 2003 Tampa Bay Next Generation Futures Golf Classic. She played collegiately at Purdue University where she was a 2 – Time All Big Ten Selection.

Cocca, who graduated from Shaker High School and previously played as a sponsor exemption as a 15 and 16 year old, graduated from Coastal Carolina in 2016 with a degree in communications. She finished in the Top 5 in the Big South Conference Tournament in 2014 and 2016. She won the New York State Junior Championship in 2009 and 2010 in addition to winning the 2016 New York State Women’s Amatuer Championship. Cocca is now an assistant pro at Normanside Country Club.

“Having two experienced golfers with Capital Region ties like Colleen and Bailey were easy choices for our tournament. Both have competed in this tournament before and we always strive to try and have player with local connections if at all possible. There was a large interest from players all over the country for these two spots but Colleen and Bailey made the most sense and we know they will represent the region well,” stated James Miller, Tournament Director.

Billy Fuccillo and the Fuccillo Automotive Group has also announced that they will award the winner of the 2017 Fuccillo Kia Classic of NY a 2017 Kia Forte LX in addition to the $18,000 first place prize. This is the third consecutive year that the winner has been awarded a vehicle by Mr. Fuccillo.

This year’s tournament also announced last month, that for the first time, a concert will be held after the first round of tournament play on June 2. Nashville Country Recording Artist Frankie Ballard will perform at the golf course in the amphitheatre that surrounds the 18^th green. The concert will start at approximately 7:30 PM and tickets can still be purchased at www.fuccillokiachampionship.com
