Annie Park walked in graduation ceremonies last weekend at Southern Cal, earning a degree in Communications. That should signal success for the 21-year-old New Yorker and LPGA rookie if history proves true.

Park graduated from high school early in New York at the end of 2012 and enrolled at USC in January. Just five months later, the Lady Trojans won the 2013 NCAA Women’s title in Athens, Ga., by 21 strokes and Park the individual crown by six despite playing the final four holes 4-over par. Two years later, Park turned professional after her junior season, her third as an All-American, and joined the Epson Tour, where she won three times in just 11 starts to earn 2015 Epson Tour Player and Rookie of the Year honors.

Park has been ramping up this season, her first on the LPGA, with a best finish of T9 early in the year at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open.

“It’s been nice, it’s been my life-long dream,” Park said two weeks ago. “So to be out here playing with the best-in-the-world players, it’s still a dream.”
