Funds raised will help fund a new multi-story home for the hospital

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – August 12, 2015 – The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and its Four Winds® Casinos are proud to announce a donation of $80,000 to Memorial Children’s HospitalÔ. The donation, which is from proceeds of the 2015 Four Winds Invitational, will be used to help fund a new multi-story home for Memorial Children’s Hospital that will be built above the Memorial Leighton Trauma Center.

“We are pleased that the success of the Four Winds Invitational has enabled us to donate $267,000 to Memorial Children’s Hospital over the past four years,” said John P. Warren, Chairman of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. “Memorial Children’s Hospital is an important part of the South Bend community. We are proud to continue our relationship which has further enhanced the hospital’s ability to provide state-of-the-art care to over 17,000 children every year.”

The 2015 Four Winds Invitational was held from Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21 at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend. The Four Winds Invitational is part of the Epson® Tour — Road to the LPGA®. 17 year-old Brooke Henderson, who received a Sponsor’s Exemption to play in the tournament, won the Four Winds Invitational, and subsequently was granted Epson Tour membership.
