Over the next several weeks LPGA.com will take a look back at Epson Tour players landing inside the top-10. This edition of the 'Meet the Epson Tour Grads" features Christine Song. She had three top finishes including career best first place finishes at the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay and Eagle Classic Presented by Bag Boy. She finished ranked No. 4 in the Volvik Race for the Card and earned LPGA status for the 2014 season.
A former member of the LPGA Tour, Christine Song returned to her winning ways last week as she claimed her third Epson Tour title at the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay. The win moved her to No. 3 on the Volvik Race for the Card standings and inched her one step closer to returning to the LPGA.
Song joined the Epson Tour in 2009 and during her first year, experienced immediate success as she recorded six top-10 finishes. Song’s stand-out year was good enough to land her at No. 6 on the season-ending Volvik Race for the Card standings which earned her conditional LPGA status for the 2010 season.
The Fullerton, Calif. native decide to primarily focus on the Epson Tour in 2010 and that decision would pay off for Song as she won two events and landed third on the season-ending Volvik Race for the Card standings to earn full-status on the 2011 LPGA Tour.
