After her second consecutive top-10 finish on the Epson Tour, rookie Casey Grice moved from 39th to 17th on the Volvik Race for the Card money list.
Grice finished solo third at the Friends of Mission Charity Classic presented by Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. She played consistent all three rounds shooting 70-71-72 for a three-day total of 3-under 213. Six of her last seven rounds have been played at par or under.
The 22-year-old finished in a tie for eighth two weeks ago at the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic in Greenwood, South Carolina.
Grice has made $11,327 of her $13,311 total in the last two events.
The University of North Carolina graduate was buried at 91st on the Volvik Race for the Card money list after the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay. With a T31 and two top-10 finishes, Grice is now in the top-20.
She ranks third on the money list amongst Epson Tour rookies behind Laura Gonzalez Escallon ($14,449) and Demi Runas ($13,951).
Grice has a great chance to move up the money list this week at the Epson Classic, especially since Kim Kaufman (10), Megan McChrystal (11) and Joanna Klatten (14) are playing primarily LPGA Tour events.
